Solstice on the Danube is a chain of events, which takes place during the month of June. Dozens of private and public entities voluntarily join the initiative and organise outtstanding sports, artistic, experiential, educational and other public events on the river or on its banks. The Danube Fund has initiated the Solstice on the Danube with an aim to improve networking between general public, communities and various stakeholders who operate along the river, and to draw more attention to the issues of public spaces, infrastructure and unique Danube eco-systems. We believe that deepening authentic relations between people and communities may be the right way how to achieve a higher quality of physical space for life on the river.
